Hello fashionistas and fans! I can't believe the time has actually come to say goodbye. This has been one really wild ride! For all you style obsessed viewers, I hope this column has provided some good shopping information, great style tips and some real insight into what goes on behind the scenes in the costume department.
I couldn't have made the season as fabulous as it was without the help of my oh so fantastic crew. That being said I'd like to recap some of my favorites over the season.
In the first episode, we see Marissa and Summer in their back to school bikinis. I think it really made a splash. Summer wore a hot pink Dolce and Gabbana string bikini and Marissa strutted her stuff in a white Calvin Klein suit with tortoise accents. It was definitely an OC moment. Later in that same episode we see Summer wearing a Camp Beverly Hills tank top on her way to drop of Cohen's belongings. Who knew then what we all know now. I wrote about that tank in this column and according to the gals over at Camp Beverly Hills they were inundated with calls and their sales skyrocketed 30 percent. Thanks to all you savvy fashionistas! And who could forget the Sno C? Marissa wore a snow white Dior number and Summer showed up in an icy blue Marc Jacobs halter dress with sequins. And remember all those nights at the Bait Shop? Marissa and Summer were often spotted in very cute adorned camisole style tops with jeans. It's a look that took off like wild fire. I passed a Hollywood nightclub with a line out the door recently and every girl was sporting that OC style.
And let's not forget about the little accessories. I personally loved the brightly colored shrugs, rockin round toed boots, jelly shoes ala Brazil, vintage scarves used as belts and those great Pucci rain boots and heart umbrella. And to complete all of the looks this season I often threw a great jacket to complete the mix. Usually it was be-jeweled or made of mixed fabrics, or had great embroidered embellishments. It's a style that continues to be hot. And for all you tall gals - we can thank Marissa for her lovely flats. My fave - the London Soles.
My advice to you - hold onto your favorite OC style moments and continue to let them influence the way you look when you walk out the door every morning. Ciao! |
