Hello Fashionistas and fans! Tonight we see Marissa looking pretty in pink. She arrives at the very buzzed about water polo party amidst a sea of Sea of Newport's richest and hottest moguls and mavens wearing a top designed by Pegah Avarian. It's a gorgeous light pink cashmere jersey number with metallic silver leather  halter straps. Whoa baby! I made a quick call over to Pegah herself to chat about her ultra chic and sexy line of clothing. We've seen Marissa wear quite a few of her items over the season and I personally can't get enough. "I design the clothes to feel pretty and fun," she said from her showroom in downtown Los Angeles. "I think the clothes make everyone feel sexy and that's why Marissa on the O.C. wears my clothing so perfectly. She's the epitome of pretty and fun and sexy," she said.
Pegah has been stitching masterpieces since she was six years old. She eventually moved to New York City and started assisting costume designers and stylists. She got her big break doing the wardrobe for the B-52's and the Pretenders on their yearlong international tour. " It was a wild time," she said. She ultimately started styling for commercialsand music videos. It was during that time that she struck gold. "I found this amazing bolt of cashmere jersey and I started playing with it, draping it and dreaming up beautiful designs with it," she said. The Pegah Anvarian line was born!
Pegah finds her inspiration everywhere. Everything from her signature fabric, which gets knitted for her exclusively by an Italian mill, to the colors used in Moroccan architecture, lighting, the ocean, hip hop music, Brazilian film, the dry heat of Southern California - it's all part of life and it is all reflected in her designs. With celebrities like Cameron Diaz, Scarlet Johansson and J. Lo snapping up her designs, we know we're onto something. My advice to you; Pegah's designs will turn each and every one of you into a sex kitten in minutes. Her tops look great with jeans and they look great with a really dressy skirt and heels as well.
