Hello fashionistas and fans! Tonight we see Kirsten on the greens with Sandy trying to learn the sport of golf. To quote Oscar Wilde "the best way to ruin a good walk". And that's certainly how Kirsten Cohen is feeling tonight. But fashionistas, have no fear, you can turn the walk from hole to hole into your very own catwalk. And don't worry, you're not alone.
If you've spent any time on the golf course lately you'll realize pretty quick this isn't a boys club any longer. According to the Ladies Professional Golf Association, it's one of the fastest growing sports for women to date. For Kirsten, and for a lot of women I'm guessing, learning a new game is always a challenge, which is all the more reason to look like a knock-out on the course. I have to admit, when I think golf attire, I think rumpled khakis and windbreakers, but boy was I in for a big surprise when I started to research golf duds. These days there are tons of chic choices for a day at the club.
Just take a look at Kirsten on the course. Think Kate Hepburn in "The Aviator" and you're heading in the right direction. Channel Ms. Hepburn and go for that 1940s feel. It turns out a nicely fitted argyle sweater is all the rage on the greens. Tonight Kirsten is wearing a beautiful cashmere mint green argyle number paired with bright white wide bottom trousers, and a simple white tee. Vavoom! She's the hottest Mom carrying a club in the OC. And yes, she is wearing a visor, but with such a chic ensemble it's really hard to go wrong. Oops, I almost forgot to mention her white hot Nike golf shoes. They certainly complete the look, and add comfort, which is vital for a long day on the links. I made a quick phone call to my pals over at Nike and they told me the golf shoes have a cult following, on and off the course. Who knew!!??
My advice: When getting ready for a day on the course, think bright and white. A colorful sweater or fitted short sleeve polo shirt, paired with bright white pants or a white skirt, is crisp and very fashion forward. We all know that Kirsten will look just as good swinging her golf club as she will having a cocktail at the eighteenth hole. For some fashion forward golf style ideas take a look at www.Nike.com or rent "The Aviator" and take good notes on Katherine Hepburn's style.
