Fashion from Episode 5: Winter Wear At The SnO.C.
by Karla Stevens

Hello fans and fashionistas! So are we ready to buzz about the most talked about party of the season? Penguins and snow at Harbor High's first annual SnO.C. Winter Ball? It was so ice cold; it was burning hot, thanks to our Sno Queen and resident event planner Marissa Cooper. It was definitely a bash to remember, and all the gals were dressed to the tens.

In a white-hot number, Marissa managed to steal the scene. Her dress, a clingy silk knit with lots of texture and sexy belt-like straps, was Dior by John Galliano. (Other Dior disciples include Brittany Murphy, Charlize Theron, Heather Graham and Rosario Dawson.) After a cramped ride in the backseat with Seth, Summer was ready to melt icicles when she hit the scene in a Marc Jacobs halter-style, icy blue chiffon dress with silver sequins. All heads turned. And with her hot, hot, hot forties-style hairdo, even the faux penguins seemed to be smiling. (Summer isn't the only starlet strutting her stuff in Marc Jacobs. Has there been a party lately where Sofia Coppola has worn anything but?)

And there were certainly chaperones at the event that were green with envy. How about Marissa's mom, the ice princess herself, Julie Cooper? In a bright green, satin cocktail number designed by A.B.S., Julie managed to get some real dirt on D.J., the dude putting the sparkle in Marissa's eye. With the holidays right around the corner, what better inspiration than the girls on "The O.C."

I have a few added tips for last minute holiday style. If your dress is feeling drab, and you don't want to spend a fortune on the latest Prada, take it up a notch with some great accessories. If you're feeling funky, try some colored pearls, maybe a few strands in different lengths. How about a hot pair of colored fishnets? They can turn drab to fab in a matter of minutes.

And don't forget your dancing shoes. Remember those glittery clip-ons that your Grandma gave you? They certainly aren't going anywhere near your ears, but how about your feet? Spruce up your comfortable pumps with a variety of clip-ons, and presto - you've got a different pair of shoes for every party. A sparkly evening bag should complete the look. After all, every girl needs a place to stash her cell phone, lip gloss and a little mad money.
