Fashion from Episode 4: Accessorize O.C. Style

Hello Fans and Fashionistas! Can we talk about accessories? Every single gal on "The O.C." was instant eye candy last night, sporting some of the hottest accessories of the season and I'm here to tell you all about them. It's all about all those little extras I love-long strands of pearls or beads and vintage style brooches, sporting snappy tweed caps and killer boots in mod colors. And it's those extras that make the ladies of "The O.C." just drip with style.

Let's discuss Kirsten Cohen, the hottest Mom on TV leading a presentation in the Newport Group Conference room. Did you catch a glimpse of her Mikimoto pearls? And the strand she dug out later for an evening at the Cohen house soiree-Mikimoto Pearls in Motion, was drop dead. I've heard celebs like Scarlet Johanson, Marla Maples and Charlize Theron go ga ga for the Mikimoto brand. And did you know the Miss Universe tiara is custom designed by Mikimoto?

And how about Marissa Cooper showing up at school in one of the coolest looks of the season. You can't go wrong with brooches this fall, but how about bumping it up a notch and clustering three in the center of her brown cashmere vest. And to top it off, a sporty tweed cap. It seems very Madonna or Cameron Diaz. And Gwyneth Paltrow certainly wears this look well.

Hot tip: I recommend this look when you're having a bad hair day and need a quick fix. Pick one up from the Gap, if you're on a budget or Burberry if you're feeling spendy.

Wow Summer! Those boot were made for walkin'. There's nothing like a beautiful pair of rounded toe turquoise knee high Marc Jacob boots with a school girl mini and vintage t-shirt. It's got a serious Twiggy vibe that all the celebs and supermodels are trying to capture. If you thought the pointy-toed boot was a tad bit uncomfortable, you're in luck. The soft rounded toe is back with a vengeance in both boots and 40's style maryjane shoes. We'll be seeing the flats on Marissa and the heels on Summer all season long.

And did you happen to catch Summer at the Bait Shop with her leopard and lavender Coach clutch? Animal prints are all the rage and when it's time to pay for the drinks, you'll be doing it in style. P.E.T.A. members have no fear, we're all about the faux on "The O.C." When I trotted by the Coach party a few weeks ago I spotted Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro with their hands full of Coach bags and shoes and they were looking pretty darn hot. Remember: one super chic accessory goes a long way...so my tip for you, don't overdo it! Unless of course, you're Julie Cooper.
