Secret Hairstory: Styles Worn By Models, Actresses and Now You
by Laura Kenney

This spring, every supermodel marched down the runway with perfectly tousled hair-you know, those sexy, swingy, completely nonchalant bead-head style waves that looks totally natural on them, but seem completely impossible to achieve on the rest of us (I don't know about you, but when I wake up my bed-head seems more "finger-in-socket" than "perfectly tousled"). Annoying, yes. Depressing, absolutely not! Because deep down inside, we all know that-with the right product and styling tricks-our hair can do anything. Here's how it's done:

After showering, towel-dried your hair and spritz it with Frédéric Fekkai Wave Creating Spray, $18.50, a curl enhancing potion that helps straight hair hold waves, and helps control curly hair. Next, blow-dry your hair so it's super smooth using a medium-sized round brush.

Using a lager barrel curling iron, wind sections (the bigger the section the looser the wave) of hair around the barrel and hold for 10 seconds. Spritz hair with a light serving of Phytolaque Hair Spray, $18, a medium-hold botanical hairspray that gives hold without stickiness, and let the waves set for 2 minutes.

Next, rub a tiny drop of Oscar Blandi Jasmine Oil Hair Serum, $23, in your palms and tousle your hair at the roots, using your fingers to gently shake out the curls. The serum uses an infusion of jasmine essential oil and vitamin E to instantly banish frizz and give a healthy shine. Finish with a few quick blasts of cool air from the blow dryer (to lock in the look) and you've got sultry, run-way worthy waves-no bed required.
