A glimpse of spring's eye makeup selection is like a warp zone into a pirate movie. After defeating a motley crew of evil pirates, you've finally found the stolen treasure. Lifting the lid off the moss-covered chest, your face is illuminated by a rainbow of glimmering gemstones-emeralds, rubies, sapphires, aquamarines! You're rich! Oh wait, total fantasy overload: Your eyes will look like a million dollars, at least. Jewel-toned eye shadow, liners and mascaras are a spring must-have, look absolutely divine with bronzed complexions and-when used correctly-can make your eye color appear more intense. Here's 3 ways to get rich, quick. |

Powder Play
Though there are no rules for wearing Technicolor shadows, you can use them to your advantage to make your eye color appear superintense (subliminal makeup, we're all about it). Choose a jewel-toned shadow shade that's complementary to your eye color. If you have blue eyes, try copper or peach. If your orbs are green go for pinks and purples, and brown-eyed girls should wear blues and silvers. Luckily, the formulas are super sheer, so you can layer for your desired color saturation. |

Lavish Lines
Colored liners are the easiest way to funk-ify your look. Line your upper lids to make your eyes appear wider open, and play up their color. Or, line your lower lids with a sparkle-infused liner for a dash of unexpected sparkle.
Try: Pop Beauty Glitter Stix in Moss Glitter, $8, Dior Crayon Eyeliner in Pacific Blue, $22, Delux Beauty Eye Pencil in Ollie Aubergine or Chimpy Blue, $14.

Fringe Benefits
For a subtler approach, tip your lashes in jewel-toned mascara This is, btw, every makeup artist's secret way to make the eyes appear brighter. First, apply your usual black or brown mascara. Wait till it dries and whisk on a brightly colors mascara just at the tips. Apply a second coat if you want more bling in your blink.
Try: Pixi Duo Lash Tints, $22, Sugar I Wink 4 Sugar Mini Mascara Set, $19, or Joey NY Super Duper Lash Tips, $15. |
